Enola’s
Teaching Philosophy

Confidence is the bridge to academic clarity. My approach focuses on creating a supportive and empowering environment where students feel safe to ask questions, take risks, learn from their mistakes and tackle challenging material. This skill requires the development of grit and courage, and it will translate into the classroom and everyday life. If students are able to advocate for themselves, they will be able to surpass their potential.

I view education as a continuous journey rather than a finish line. By focusing on sustainable progress and mastery over time, I help students build a solid foundation that supports their growth across their entire academic career, from high school to higher education.

Every learner is unique, with distinct strengths and challenges. I tailor my teaching style to match each student’s needs, adapting lesson plans and strategies to ensure they master complex coursework like AP English and SAT preparation in a way that resonates with them personally.

Enola's story

My passion for literature and language started from a young age, and only grew as time passed. My love for helping children through swim lessons, nannying, and tutoring led me to become a teacher. Everything I do in education is driven by my desire to help students express themselves with clarity and confidence. After becoming a stay-at-home mom, I gravely missed the classroom and the oppurtunity it provided to help students prepare for college and grow in their reading and writing abilities. Therefore, I created Elevate with Enola - a dedicated space for students to grow in their reading and writing skills, master complex coursework like AP Literature, AP Language, and the SAT. With me, I hope they feel supported and prepared for their next steps.  For me, tutoring is more than just helping your child get a better grade, it is a unique opportunity to build a meaningful relationship, develop grit, help your child find their voice, and witness the transformative moment when a they finally grasps a difficult concept or discover their passion
